Overview of Atlas Mara’s Lusaka Branch Network

Before its acquisition by Access Bank in early 2024, Atlas Mara Zambia operated approximately 65 full-service branches across Zambia, including Lusaka, along with 24 agencies and 177 ATMs.

Major Lusaka Branches and Locations

These are some key branches in Lusaka:

  • Main Branch (Atlas Mara House)– Church Road & Nasser Road, Ridgeway. This location offers full banking services, including business, personal, and treasury functions.
  • Kamwala Branch– A busy retail branch in Kamwala South with teller services, ATMs, and account management.
  • Longacres Branch– Another prominent location in a commercial district, providing everyday banking and loan consultations.

However, in 2019, customers experienced temporary disruption when bailiffs closed several Lusaka branches and ATMs due to legacy legal issues, including at Kamwala and Longacres.

System Integration Progress

The move to a single robust banking platform aims to enhance digital and physical banking capabilities while maintaining strong risk mitigation measures.
